 Can anyone tell me what I have to check under tools/options to stop that pop up box from telling me I am working offline. I have looked all over this thing and cant find a reference. After I am idle and offline for a few it pops up and before I can redial and get a data flow I have to go to tools and uncheck working off-line.:(

Have a look in your dialup networking settings. It's been so long since I've had dialup so I don't remember the specifics anymore but there used to be setting in there that said something about disconnecting your connection after being idle for a certain amount of time.

I'm not sure if this is what's happening or not but it's worth a look.

Thanks friend, will give it a look see and re-post my findings. I know the feelings about dial up, but, have been trying for two years to get DSL and they still keep advertising:mad: Sure would hate to play poker with them.

One more thought. It may be that your ISP disconnects you. Mine used to disconnect me after 20 minutes of inactivity. What worked for me was to have my email client check for new mail every 15 minutes. If I was going to be gone for a bit, I'd open OE and let it do it's thing. Worked for me.

Tom here is something else you can try it worked for me.
Go to tools after opening IE, click on internet options, click on connection, click on setting, at bottem of page click on advanced. A box will open and you can set the time to keep it from disconnecting. (Disconnect if idel for Minutes.) After setting the time you wont to click the ok in the upper right hand corner and then click the ok at the bottem. Remember if you don't click the ok in the upper right hand corner first your setting will return to the default setting and you will need to do this all over again.
    Hope this helps .
