the drop down menu appears then i click "today ",
no problem. When i click the previous day,

What is your setting for 'Days to keep pages in History'?

Internet Options > Browsing History - Settings?

Corruption in the History folder is not uncommon and retaining 25 - 30 days History at the most is recommended.

I suggest you empty your History file - Internet Options > Browsing History - Delete - History and see if that resolves the problem.

Hi cpyou. You can also try updating to Internet Explorer 8 and see if that solves your problem.

It could also be that you have a 'security' type program that deletes your browsing history on a daily basis.

I have done all that except upgrade to IE 8. Still nothing.
The computer is almost a year old and it is to go into the
shop for its maintainance so maybe they will have the
    time to check that out.
I bought the extended warranty so its covered:).
    Thanks for now.
(I will go over those security settings again, that was a good suggestion)
