My IE6 used to prompt for download and this would allow you to place the file in a directory of your own choosing. Now when you click on a file it downloads into the Internet Explorer temporary internet directory and launches. I have looked in the options and I am not finding a box to check (or uncheck). I more than likely clicked or hit the return key when I shouldn't have. So where can I find the option to get back to prompt you to Open or Save?? I am running WinXP.

    Thanks....

    Hi sparky,
Go up to tools...internet options....and under the advanced tab, take the check mark out of the " enable install on demand "
