Using WIndows XP home with all updates and SP3 and IE6 as browser. I do not see IE6 showing up in add/remove programs list. Is that as it should be ?
Next I would like to update to IE7 but would like to have the choice to revert back to IE6. What would be the best way to do this ?

IE6 is an integral part of Win XP & cannot be removed without causing Windows to suffer deep confusion.

You can update to IE 7. IE7 would be listed in Add/Remove Programs.

If you have XP, which came with IE6, you can upgrade to IE7 and remove it in the Control Panel add/remove programs later. IE 7 has some advantages in security, and if you plan on using Vista, you might as well get use to it. IE8 is even coming. Download it from the MS site (there is no WGA validation required) and give it a try.

    Regarding IE8.

Remember its Beta & NOT recommended for installation on main or production machines.

Thank you all for your help. You have answered my question. I get the jitters some times when I go to make changes that I'm not sure about.
    Tks again
