    Hello,
I have lately been getting 404 errors on known good pages while browsing in IE6. Clinking on the link a second time produces the page ok or hitting refresh does it also. Does not do this all the time but is getting very annoying. Anybody have a clue as to what might be causing this? I have just ran sfc/scannow also and did not help.
Thanks for any help - Gene

Genestoy--If a Refresh will bring up the page, it sounds like a server problem to me. Not much you can do about it. (Maybe call your ISP? Or clean out your cache?))

It's probably an issue with the cache.

To clear the cache with XP/2000 go to start --> run --> command --> click open --> at the prompt type ipconfig /flushdns.

Clear all the history, and temporary internet files too.

If that doesn't solve the problem, reinstall IE. Or just use Mozilla. Things like this are typically a browser/cache issue.
