My Favovites used to always be accessible via auto-hide every time I opened IE. Now I have to go to the top and click on Favorites to open every time I open IE. Anyone have any ideas?

If you're using full screen mode click on the pin icon in the upper right hand corner of the favorites list.

Are you talking about having your Favorites automatically listed on the left side of the screen when you open IE?

If so, make sure that you only have one IE window open, then look on the Toolbar, you should see a button that looks like a file folder, click on this and the Favorites explorer bar window will open, while this is open close your IE Window and then reopen it. The Favorites explorer bar window should still be displayed.

This can also be accomplished by clicking on the View menu item, scroll down to Explorer Bar, and click on Favorites.

If the Favorites button is not available on the toolbar and you would like it to be, click on a blank area of the toolbar, select Customize from the pop-up menu. The Customize Toolbar window is devided into two parts, Available Toolbar Buttons, and Current Toolbar Buttons. In the the Available Toolbar Buttons find the Favorites button, highlight it, click on Add, then click on Close and then follow the above directions.

    Hope this helps. :)

    Thanks,, but

The favorites icon is on the tool bar.

I am talking about having my favorites open when I open internet explorer.

I tried opening my favorites, closing IE with them open, then re-opening IE, but they had to be re-opened from the toolbar.

It (IE) doesn't seem to want to remember that I want my favorites to open with easc start of IE.

    More ideas?

O.K. I'm stumped. What I described in my earlier post works on my system, I don't know why it doesn't work on yours. Anyone else have any ideas.

Try following Rod's suggestions again, but this time hold down the ctrl key while you are closing the browser window (and make sure that you only have one window open).

I can't put this to the test because, as in Rod's case, my favourites remain "open ".

Brett--Thanks for the effort, but it still won't stay open.
Holding the Control Key down sounds familiar to me though, but again it didn't do the job. Does anyone know if this could be a registry problem?
