    G'day,

No matter what site I go to it takes forever to load, I have cleared out the temp files etc, are there some tweaks I might be able to perform?

    Cheers,

    AussieSean--Is this something new?
Since you have already emptied your cache (Temporary Internet Files and Temp Files), the next most likely reason for the problem is spyware/malware. You may want to try the procedure here
    http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?t=37074

You could also ask your neighbors using the same ISP if they are having problems. If so, it is not your PC, and you should alert the ISP.

When you post back, tell us the version of Windows you use and what your connection to the internet is (cable, dialup, etc.).

    IE 6.0 Slow

    G'day,

Sorry, Win XP, no one I know having problem, I use High Speed DSL, I have other browsers installed and they are loading fine, seems like IE 6.0 needs some tweaking and I don't know where to begin. If it was Malware, would the browsers load ok? I just recently noticed this problem.

    Cheers,

    Sean

AussieSean--Malware does not necessarily stop you from using the internet, but it can slow things down. When you say "load" I understand that you can open IE OK but surfing is slow.
I would definitely suggest using the procedure in that link I provided.

You mention this started recently. Can you remember what other soft/hardware you installed about that time? You could try removing them.
Or you could try a System Restore.
There also are procedures for repairing IE
    http://www.theeldergeek.com/repair_ie6.htm

    Finally,
There are tweaks for optimizing broadband connections.
    http://www.dslreports.com/tweaks
You could also call your ISP and see if they can offer help. If you are not getting an acceptable download speed, you are not getting the service you are paying for.
However, concerning the last two suggestions, I now understand all is OK when you use browsers other than IE on the same PC. So probably not an ISP problem.

    IE 6.0 Slow

    G'day,

Contacted Sprint DSL Fast Connect, I have the highest speed they offer, and their tests showed all was well with their lines, and they said it has to be in the IE Browser ...... so I will try the additional Tweaks you suggested,

    Cheers Mate
