Running IE 6.0 SP2 which came with Win XP SP2. I've been receiving an ''IE Scripts Error'' message when I try to use a program which used to operate correctly. Here's what the actual message says:
An error has occurred in the script on this page.
    Line: 142
    Char: 21
    Error: Access Denied
    Code: 0
    URL: file://C:\Program Files\Canon\Easy-WebPrint\Print Template.htm

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?

(No matter which answer to the above question I choose nothing happens)

AceH--I suspect that message is really for the person who wrote the code for that page, not for you, the viewer.
IE Tools|Internet Options|Advanced tab. Uncheck "Display a Notification about every Script Error" and check both "Disable Script debugging" options. Then Apply|OK.
P.S. The above is for viewing web pages. It is not entirely clear if this is your situation since you say
So post back if you still have problems. The fact that "nothing happens" suggests the problem is not serious and has nothing to do with you. Just annoying.

The items you mentioned are already checked and unchecked correctly.

I get that message when I try to either print or get a print preview using Canon Easy-WebPrint (which is a toolbar similar to google that I installed with my Canon Printer). This had been working fine and I don't really know when it started "acting up" as I only noticed this today. I really like this progam because it allows you to print a web page exactly as it appears on screen. (You know how sometims you'll print a page and part of the side (left margin) is cut off....well this program eliminates that problem. I have uninstalled and re-installed the program twice but no luck.

IE's print preview works just fine, only this progam triggers the message.

I remember a similar problem with the Epson equivalent - Web to Page. I think I resolved it by reinstalling that part of the application.

    Watch this space

Canon appears to be aware of the problem (I see the same error message and evidently others do to). Below was snipped from Canon's web page:

If you install Microsoft "Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer for Windows XP (KB912812) ", which is included in Windows Updates from April 2006, a script error may occur when you use Print or Preview in Canon Easy-WebPrint. The Internet Explorer update may have automatically been installed on your PC using Microsoft "Automatic" Updates. The cause of this error is currently being investigated. In the interim, please use "Print" and "Print Preview" on the main menu in Microsoft Internet Explorer. Please check the Canon Easy-WebPrint website again soon for more information.
