IE 5.5 on Windows 98. When IE is shut down intentionally, after about 15 seconds an error message is displayed stating that "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close ". Restart Internet Explorer is enabled by default. Any ideas on what is causing this and how do I stop it?

    TIA for any help.

    Sue

Hi Sue and welcome to the boards.

Disable Internet Explorer Error Reporting as per the instructions here. This will result in you receiving a more comprehensive error message when IE next encounters the problem. Post back (with details) when you have the full message.
