Idle Disconnect

    How can I disable "Enable Idle Disconnect" permanently in Windows ME?

    Hi Welcome

    You didnt mention the version if ie or the type of connection servise you have ?

    If you go, tools, internet options, connections if there be one listed there under dialup and virual private network,,
    then go settings--- then properties then use the dialing tab
    [ ] enable idle diconect.

    provided you'r isp doesnt over ride this it will work, but most isp's have there own idle disconnect --mine lately tries to diconnect every ten minutes--when its only supposed to show up every thirty.
