Your ISP should certainly be able to reset your email password for you. Or if you are using a setup with a "master account" (RoadRunner has this sort of thing and maybe others) then the master account should be able to manipulate any of the sub-accounts I think.

Maybe more detail about exactly what errors you are getting and what you are trying to do when you get them?

And please take your CAPS LOCK off when you respond. Really difficult for some of us to real text in all caps.

reply to newt -identity password problem

I use Comcast for my ISP and I use Outlook Express for receiving my e-mail. My husband opened the account and his email address krohr1@comcast.net is the main identity my identity is under the email address therohrs@comcast.net. Usually I go to outlook and go under file and then switch identities and two things pop up main identity (my husband's email account) and then Stacey Siekierski Rohr (my email account). There is a place below that for a password but we have never used this before. Usually we bypass this by clicking ok. Then another screen comes up and asks for a password. I type in my password and it gets my mail and opens the page in outlook to view my emails. No problem.

This day when I tried to go to switch identities from the file menu I noticed the password box was highlighted I tried to click ok with out typing in a password as I usually did before and it says the password you typed is incorrect-password error box. So I tried to use my regular password and it says the same thing. I immediately tried to access my comcast ISP account online using my password and it worked to get me inot their system byt would not get my email as they do not have this function available online yet to their customers. I called my Isp and they changed my password to the same password as I alrady had and that also worked.

Meanwhile my husband is still able to get his e-mail just fine without a password. Go figure???

The ISP created me a new identity so that I can receive my e-mail going forward. The problem is I need the old account to access the old e-mails and addresses. We (on the phone with the ISP)tried to delete the old email account and it tells me I need the password.

The ISP told me to call microsoft and said they could not help me with this identity problem. Microsoft told me to try you. You told me to go back to the ISP. Can you do better than that? They are idiots! Atleast I think you can help me somehow.

I don't know what other information you need from me. Please let me know.
