    I understand I can't get recover my lost password for an identity I created but can I delete that idendity with out the password? I had backed up the messages in OE 5 but I now use OE 6 does. Since i lost the password I can't restore the messages but can I read them by converting them to a different way of reading them or are they lost forever too?

    To delete an identity in OE, click on File in the menu bar, point to Identities, and then click Manage Identities.
    Select a user, and then click Remove.
    Note : You cannot delete the current identity. When you delete an identity, the corresponding settings are deleted, but data is not.

    Outlook Express stores its passwords in .PWL files in your Windows directory. There's a separate file for each username on the system. There is a utility that displays all passwords of the currently logged on user that are stored in the Microsoft PWL file. Check below for the FREE "Write All Stored Password" utility:
