I have a dialup connection, and am sharing it from a Windows XP machine. I have 3 other machines, 1 is windows xp and the other 2 are linux. I am able to share the internet just fine, but I would like them to be able to have their own IP address on the internet. is this possible? My dialup account uses DHCP to assign IP addresses (as most do), thanks.

As you are set up now, probably can't be done unless your ISP will rent you a static IP address (some do for extra $$/££/whatever) or unless you get a domain of your own. Neither option is very practical with dial-up.

If you explain what you want to do, maybe someone can suggest a way to do it with your present setup. Hosting an FTP site, a web site, or a game come to mind but all are a little unusual with dial-up these days.
