Some of the icon images do not correspond to the correct application.

An example is that the image for the icon for the keyboard and mouse is also the same icon image for the windows explorer.

Another example is that the image for Microsoft Onenote quick launcher is the same as the one for Windows task manager.

The icon for safely remove hardware says Windows Explorer with a picture icon of the keyboard and mouse. I would like the safely remove hardware icon available when you click on the triangle to show hidden icons. It's not there, but the keyboard and mouse icon is.

I tried the rename to old and reboot and I tried the batch file and neither solved the problem.

My Icons in the notification area seem to be the problem.

I tried the first one. All it did was make some of them disappear from the customize list and the ones that were there were still messed up.

I did a system restore from before I tried the first one. Now the icons that were wrong associations are gone, and there isn't an icon with Windows Update for example.
