In OE when creating new mail, above the text area there are two icons that I would like to know when and how these are used.

One is "create a hyperlink "
    and "insert picture "

    Hi LadyLuck

First you need to have Tools > Options > Send > Mail Sending Format - HTML checked

To insert a picture click on the Insert Picture Icon or Insert > Picture. In the dialogue box which appears Browse for Picture source, select the picture and click OK - the picture is inserted in the text.

To Insert a hyperlink click on the Create a hyperlink icon or Insert > Hyperlink. In the dialogue box which appears type in the URL - OK

When....... well that's up to you :)

If you want a picture to appear in the body of the text use the method outlined above, otherwise send it as an attachment

Inserting hyperlinks into the text, e.g. a web site address is useful - sure you get emails with hyperlinks - e.g, the notification emails from this BBS

As a rule I paste the hyperlinks into the message or type them in - this is just another route to the same endpoint.

Thanks Pete. In other words they are the same function as in the "tools" menu. I just thought it was something different. :)
