    Hi,

Today Windows XP changed on its own. I have no idea to fix it.

When I rest my mouse on any icon, folder, or the start button for a second or so, a message now pops up and tells me what I'm looking at. However, for some reason the font has gone terribly bold and ugly. When I move my mouse these information boxes pop up and they are really an eye sore.

I've checked the desktop properties and it's still set at "normal" font.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks!

dabench - Welcome to the Board :)

Have you checked out Display Properties > Appearance > Advanced ....

Scroll down to Tooltips and reset the font.
