Resolved Icon for Chrome app in taskbar changing

I recently changed the icon for a program (Chrome--actually the Iron browser--has an app shortcut for Gmail) that is on my taskbar. I changed the icon to an icon on my D partition, and after a day or two, it changed back. Now that its back to the original, its really starting to bug me....

How do I get Windows to recognize the new icon? I haven't moved it. The icon is still there.

 

Try using Windows' "System Restore" to roll Windows back to a previous state when your computer was functioning correctly:

I "solved" the problem by taking the icon off my taskbar. I have an auto-notification utility in the system tray, and I just double-click that if I need to access my email. Thanks anyways.
