    Hello,

I've installed several 16 bit apps in Windows 2000 Pro and I do not see them in add/remove programs. Does anyone know if there is another place, like a log or something I can view to see what 16 bit programs have been installed. I'm not try to remove them, I just need to know which ones are 16bit vs 32 bit for troubleshooting purposes.

Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Angela

The properties of a shortcut to a 16-bit program will give the option of "Run in separate memory space ".

Also, check the process list in task manager. For a 16-bit application, it should show ntvdm.exe, wowexec.exe and the 16-bit program name.

Depending on how the program was written, it may require a default printer installed. You can also edit config.nt and autoexec.nt in winnt\system32.

Thanks, that info definitely helped. When I went into processes, it showed exactly what you said, exact the app name. Is there any way of getting that to display?

    Thanks Again
