My problem with trying to import my Netscape mail messages into Outlook Express is that I can't locate the Netscape mail folder. I'm using XP. Can someone please give me a clue here? Thank you.

Thank you for trying to help, Tranquilo. When I follow the instructions in the link you sent me, I get to Profiles and then Default with an .slt file and User Default with another .slt file. Neither of these works. I get the message: No messages can be found in this folder or another application is running that has the required files open. I have no other applications open. Can you help any further, please?

Inside one or both of those *.slt folders should be a mail folder, then a mail_account_name folder, like so:

    C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\profilename\xxxxxxxx.slt\Mail\mail_account_name\

Your mail files should be there, you can use windows explorer to verify before trying to import any mail into OE. Be sure to check all your *.slt folders since you don't want to miss any mail ;)

Tranquilo, under mail, I have mail.attbi.com --- but my mail has been changed to mail.comcast.net. Do you think that could be the problem? Because when I try to use mail.attbi.com, it just doesn't work.

Can anybody else offer any suggestions on where I might find my Netscape mail folder, please?

Are you certain that OE supports importing from netscape 7.x ? If it doesn't (it may not), you may have to install netscape 4.7x or 4.80, create a profile and copy your mail to netscape 4.7x/4.80 and import from there. Of course, this is a pain, but it may be the only way to go... Netscape use s the same mail format in both versions, so copying the mail is easy.

The default location for netscape 4.x mail...

    C:\Program Files\Netscape\Users\profilename

    Hi aks,

Here are the guidelines for what you wish to do: Import Netscape Mail to OE

I did have this guideline listed on my Solutions pages, but have withdrawn it, due to all the unpatched security vulnerabilities in IE/OE. Be very, very, security conscious from here on out...
