I ran the Win98 hardware diagnostics tool (Hwdiag.exe)...

and got the following error msgs. Can anybody please tell me in plain english what's wrong? Thanks so much...

Could you tell us why you ran Hwdiag.exe?

Go to your device manager and see if you have any yellow marks with asterisk. The advice given on the Class:Media was reinstall driver....Did you do that?

it was listed under "tips and techniques" for WIN98!

Yes, I have a yellow exclamation point under "wave device for modem "

I went thru a search of the driver database and it came out with nothing. The only thing I haven't had time to do is find my modem
driver CD, I guess it is there....

Probably related.

If a PCI Modem is involved it may be stopping PCI IRQ steering from working properly and causing an IRQ conflict.
