i need to put a password on my wifi

    ok so i changed internet companies not to long ago and i got iinet. i got the modem and everything works fun. the only problem is the wifi is not password protected.

    i have the standard wifi modem that iinet sends i know i have to go into 10.1.1.1 but i don't know what to do from there. can you please help me?

    I have a Belkin 54g router but hooked into the DSL modem for my Verizon service.. You may find the same feature on your Belkin device that I have.

    In the User Manual, go look for the "Advanced User Interface" chapter. There's a section in my book on "Setting the WEP Encryption ". I set a 64 bit hex word on mine. There's also an option for a 128-bit code.

    This encryption denies access to your wifi to anyone who doesn't know the key.
