I want to be able to play music over skype and aol chat.

Okay, so I know that the obvious and easiest choice is to go and put my mic right near my speaker, but its horrible quality.

So I was wondering if it was possible to use the output of my speaker and use it
as the input of my mic or whatever ppl over skype and aol hear.

I do have a mic plugged in, and they can hear me through it

    Hi,
I think the limitation will be the internet connection(s). The music will need to be translated into data to be "streamed ", then it will need to be translated at the other end. If you had a (very?) fast internet connection and so did the receiver, it may work OK. You can run Skype on a 33.6 kps dialup modem, but streaming music would be near impossible.

Is the music "choppy" on the other end or does it just sound poorly?

    Matt

The software you mention doesn't support this type of streaming, so you'll have a hard time (at best) getting it to work. Chance is it just won't work.

Try a google search for "audio streaming server ". That'll give you options as to ways to stream audio over a network connection.
