I have a security program I purchased last week. Steganos Security Suite 4.

When I installed this program on the Dell computer I lost the ability to surf. Somehow it messes up IE. I have aol and can't surf with that browser either.

I can't even get to Windows update to download IE again. I don't know how to extract it from the disk either. I tried installing ME on top of SE, thinking upgrade would make things right. Nope. The odd thing is that I installed Steganos on the HP which is way smaller and only 64 ram, and IE works perfectly.

I am totally lost on this. And Steganos help is no help! They are just the sellers of program. The creater of Steganos has not answered any of my emails.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanx,
    TzV

I doubt you've lost anything. I would examine this "security" programs settings, it looks that you need to enable some things to be able to browse the 'Net....

    lose components

Now I am confused. Programs sets up perfectly on the HP which only has 64 ram and 3 gigs of space. But on the Dell which has 128 ram and 10 gigs free space, I can't surf at all.

I bought the program hoping to cut out some spam.

    It deletes...
    list of recently used files
    recenly used applications
    recenly searched files
IE cookies, history, temp files(cache), offline web pages

    Netscape cookies, history, cache files

    and recycle bin.

It has a safe for personal files. Password keeper. Mail encryption which I rarely use. File manager and locks puter while away.

I don't see any setting that except change passwords and which files to delete.

I am totally lost here. A friend said it is that Dell sets up files differently on their systems. It is not the normal way that most puters set things up. All I know is that I can not use any web browsers on the Dell at all. I have both IE5.5 and Netscape 6.0
    Sincerely,
    Tzv

Seems obvious to me... Remove the program & repair/reinstall the browser/OS....
