I know where the Camera and Scanner Wizard went...

A couple of weeks ago I posted that my Digital Camera and Scanner Wizard disappeared, and I couldn't download pictures. A repair of XP solved that problem, and the Wizard reappeared. I thought that my troubles were over. Yesterday, I installed NAV 2006 over the present 2005 version that I was running. There were a few stray entries from the old program left over, so I did some cleanup work. I don't use any registry cleaners as a rule anymore, because the programs that I used to use (Regseeker, System Mechanic, etc.) would always do something to mess up something with my system. However, I was still using RegClean, because it never seemed to affect my system. Well, I used it last night, and IT took out the Digital Camera Wizard! RegClean was the culprit all along! I used the "undo" files to put the registry back where it was, and sure enough...the Camera Wizard started working again! And I do remember that I did run RegClean before the Wizard was knocked out the first time!

Moral to the story...be careful with registry cleaners!
