Had this pc for about a year, Since the first day i got it whenever i press shut down in windows, Whenever i try to turn it back on no matter if its a few minutes or the next day. i have to press the power on button continuously for about 5 minutes for the pc to turn on. However here's the weird part I have a recording program "bandicam" which has a timed shut down feature so everytime i shut it down i set it to record for 10 seconds then shut down. When i do that i never have the press the power button for 5 minute problem... it comes on instantly. The problem seems to only be with the windows default shut down option. Do you guys have any idea how i can fix this problem or whats causing it ?

:( You should have returned it the first day you got it. You say "about" a year. Is it still under warranty?

    Please explain this process.
If you are using W10 - the normal process is to use the mouse to click on the Start icon > click on the Power icon > click on the Shutdown text and Windows will close any programs and the computer will stop.
If you are using the On/Off switch to Shut down the comp - then you will have problems.
As Bill has suggested - if this comp would not Shut down as normal -,you should have returned it to where you purchased it.

I would try Safe mode to see if it acts normally and/or run sfc /scannow to see if there are any files missing.
Do you know how to access these tests?
