    does anyone know where on the web i can download the full version of i.e. 5.5 sp2. want to put on a cd so when i help people i can install the full version from my cd.

    The CD includes the complete packages for Internet Explorer 6, MSN Explorer 6.1 and Windows Media Player 7.1. The CD is free, but the cost for shipping and handling is $10 US, plus tax; $15 CAN, plus tax. This offer is only available in the U.S. and Canada. Please allow 3–4 weeks for delivery.

    have seen to many postings regarding ie6 and outlook 6 plus ie6 from what i've read is not compatible with windows 95. you'd be surprised at how many people i see with machines still at win95 levels.

    i.e. 5.5 sp2 download

    tried both of those sites but still unable to find the full 17mb download for i.e. 5.5 sp2. those sites still only offer the small .exe download and then you can run the .exe file but you have to be online to get the download. maybe the only way to get is to buy the cd.

    When you run the setup file choose the minimal install and click next. Then click on the advanced button and choose download only. It will download the files and you can then install it from your hard drive and you'll have the installation files to keep if you so choose.

    Also found this about 5.5:

    Please Note: This 506 Kilobyte download includes the ie5setup.exe installer file only, download it to your machine and run the file while still on-line. From here you can download the final file which depending on your preferences, can range from 8 to 45 MB.
