I can't get XP to see my flash drive

I have a USB flash drive it is an MEMOREX 1GB Travel Drive and I can not get XP to see it for nothing I have tried changing the drive letters on my other drives and also bought a PCI card and it still will not see it. I have a Chaintech VNF3-250motherboard and am starting to think that is my problem? When I try to install drivers for it, it tells me that there was a problem installing. I didn't think you really needed any drivers for a USB flash drive? If anyone can help me with this problem I would very much appreciate it. I need this drive for schoolwork!

Perhaps you need to check and see if your USB ports are working. Look in Device Manager.

I think the nVidia chipset drivers may be the ones you need.

USB is working and done already done the chaintech thing too still doesn't work?

my usb printer and everything else I have usb works fine. I have already tried installing all updates for motherboard and still don't work?

My other suggestion would be to reformat the drive on another Win XP computer. Choose FAT32, but you could also try the FAT file system.
