How do I get out of Windows 10 and back to my old OS?

Maybe if you told us what you don't like about W10, we can help you through those issues. If rolling back to W7, understand that is rolling back to a 6 year old OS where mainstream support has already ended. If back to W8.x, then support will continue for a bit longer, but not forever.

W10, on the other hand, will be supported on your computer for as long as you own that computer (or motherboard). W10 is more secure than either W7 or W8. And note too W10 can be make to look and feel like W7 with Start10 or ClassicShell - that said, the W10 user interface is much more intuitive (to me, anyway) than W8's.

I found W10 very very slow. Also, it didn't seem at all intuitive to me. Perhaps if I knew how to make it look and feel like 7 I'd be happier. I'd certainly like to have a more up to date system because, as you say, W 7 is no longer supported. How do I go about that?

Very very slow would suggest a problem with your hardware or drivers. Is it slow to boot or slow all the time?

    Tell us about your hardware.

As I noted above, Start10 or Classic Shell can be used to bring back W7's familiar Start Menu and start page/desktop. I use and prefer Start10, but CS works and is very popular too. Start10 is not free but at $4.99 one-time cost, hardly a budget buster. It has a fully functional 30-day trial period so you try before you buy. If you don't like it, it fully uninstalls without fuss.

I had Start8 on all my W8 systems but have now upgraded all of those computers to W10. But because I find W10 easier to figure out I have not installed Start10 on all of them - yet. I may eventually but I want to give W10 a chance to see if I can get used to it.

I note even W7 was foreign to me coming from XP (I never migrated to Vista). But it did not take long to get used to W7 and then XP seemed foreign. That's the normal course of things that are new.

I am finding that the people having the most issues with W10 are coming from W7. Not sure why but I am guessing because in general, their hardware is older generations, but also because if they never really used W8, then W10 would still seem quite foreign (even though W8 was totally alien, IMO).
