Resolved Hyperlinks in Thunderbird no longer work

    Using Windows 8.1 and Thunderbird 52.

    Hyperlinks I receive in e-mails no longer work. I click and nothing happens.

    I have tried all the solutions listed here.

    HTTP and HTTPS are not listed at all at Tools> Options> Attachments

    UPDATE:
    Solution: The problem of hyperlinks not working in Thunderbird is almost always traced to corrupted places.sqlite, places.sqlite-shm, and places.sqlite-wal files. The solution is to delete those files.

    • Close Thunderbird
      Find the Thunderbird installation folder.
      Delete places.*
      Run Thunderbird again.
      Problem should be fixed.
