HTML Help Needed

    I am designing a web page for a gaming clan, and i'm having trouble with the HTML. heres my problems:
    2 of the 3 links on the splash page are surrounded in blue. I added
    <body vlink= "#990000 ">
    990000 is the color of my background. this solved the blue thingy around one of the links. also, it seems like everything got shifted somehow. I am trying to learn HTML as i go, but im stuck here.
    heres a link so you guys can see it. this will be the splash page, leading to the home page or forums. http://m.1asphost.com/MaxDes/messedup.html

    I'd really appreciate the help,
