My computer recently crashed. After getting everything back up and running, my printer does not work correctly.
I have searched the archives for an answer without success.
I am running Windows 98 with a HP Deskjet 720C printer. The software that came with it was outdated when I bought the printer. I went to the HP web site and downloaded the new drivers:
(The HP DeskJet 720C Series Printer Driver
    Release date: 22-Oct-1998 Version: 10.3)
This is what was working before the crash. When I try to install this driver, I get the blue screen of death! I have downloaded the drivers again in case my original was corrupt, but still cannot install the new driver that the printer needs.
Can anyone help with this problem please?
I have had no luck from the HP web site.

Go to the following site and download RegCleaner. Install it and run it. Take out all references to HP using this program. Reboot. Now install your printer drivers. Repost re: your results.

    Printer Problem

I have Regclean installed on my computer. I tried your instructions to no avail. However after much searching on the HP site, I found instructions on how to install the "printer driver installer." I followed the instructions and everything installed back the way it was before. The printer is now working as it should again.
Thanks for the reply. This board is great and I really appreciate the response
    Keep up the good work.
