Now, I believe this monitor to be Super VGA 1024x768 capable, from everything I've researched - yet I can't get it beyond 800x600 without a garbled display (everything is majorly fuzzy). Any ideas why this is? And it's not just on the Radeon R9550 card - both my main desktop's GeForce 8600 GTS and the built-in S3-type card on that computer have had identical issues. The monitor I am fairly sure is set to 60 Hz.

I already have the drivers off the Win98 disc ;) And that other link hasn't helped me I'm afraid, for I'd need to know what refresh rate to set for the 1024x768.

The refresh rate for a steady screen is, as I recall, 75 Hz and is set through the display driver.

As the monitor behaves the same on several computers I suggest it has reached the end of it's life :(

Possibly, but this monitor was never designed to run on 75 Hz anyway - this is a 1995 CRT, please remember. ;) And considering my main rig doesn't always remember to keep the 75 Hz setting, and that is much newer, that shouldn't be an actual factor. If the monitor was slowing down, well, it wouldn't surprise me - sat for years unused in an aering cupboard, and it does take a good 15 seconds to start the display up. If you read that, it is designed for 60 Hz at 800x600, so perhaps 54 or whatever it is at 1024x768? I'd need to find that setting.

48? Looks like I'll be staying at 800x600 then until I can get my hands on a cheap TFT monitor - or a free one. :D
