how to wipe hardrive and reinstall windows xp

    can someone please help me I would like to wipe my hardrive then re install windows xp. I have been having problems with aol and this id my last resort. I dont have a windows xp floppy just the cd rom and will have to that install it again. thank u

    Hi Marleydog - welcome to the Board :)

    No problem - boot from your XP CD and follow the instructions on the screen for a clean install. You may need to go into your BIOS to set the boot order CD/Floppy/HD. Watch the screen when booting from the CD - you should see 'Press any key to boot from CD'.

    This is a good guide - Windows XP Clean Install . Go for full format rather than quick.
