my mother's computer went dead, I have a hard drive power connector so that I can retreive the files from it. I do not know how to retrieve her emails and address book. She did have windows XP and outlook 2007, her new computer that I will be putting it on is windows 7, but still outlook 2007. How do I find the files on the old hard drive to copy to an external hard drive and then take to her house and import on her new computer? Any help would be appreciated. She really needs some of the information

Search the old HD for .pst files. That is were you will find them.

For the address, go into Outlook and export them to a cd or dvd or thumb drive. Then import them on the new PC.
