Running Win 2K, Pentium 2?, 700MHz, 128 mb ram, IE5, OExp 5. Having a problem with what appears to be a corrupted msimn.exe. Every time I try to copy to the clipboard when I am in either outlook express or in internet explorer, both of the programs crash. The error message states that msimn.exe has generated errors and program will be closed.

However, the reverse is not true - I can paste information copied to the clipboard from other apps, into IE or Outlook Exp without crashing the program. The clipboard function appears to be somewhat corrupted in other applications, but at least the program doesn’t crash in the other apps.

Don’t know where the system repair utility is located on Win2K. Tried running WFP’s sfc /scannow, the utility scanned through the entire system root file and reported no repair or replacements. However the problem remains.

    How can I perform a system file repair? TIA . . .
