HOW TO: Remove Internet Explorer?

We are trying to remove Internet Explorer completely from windows 98se OS and windows xp pro os. We have tried using the gpedit.msc in xp but for some reason we cannot remove it completely. As anyone thought about this.....of course you have. Please let us know.

keyer--You have not told us what version of IE. The official MS way for IE6 is

There is also a program called IEradicator

However, you also do not tell us why you want to do this. Maybe whatever problem you have can be cured by using the Internet Explorer Repair Tool?? (Start|Programs|Accessories|System Tools|System Information|Internet Explorer Repair Tool|Wait. Reboot.) Or there could be other solutions for specific problems.
