Browsing the web and AVG reported virus found. I immediately quarantined it.
Checked for updates for AVG, spybot and ad-aware. Turned off system restore, rebooted in safe mode and ran all scanners. I deleted everything they found. PC seems to work fine but dmvlite is still in add remove programs and I can't remove it. I would sure appreciate any help someone can give me. HJT log follows. Thanks so much!

    Hello

Start Hijackthis and place a check next to these items,
Close all browser windows and shut down all other programs that show in the taskbar. (even Folders) Hit fix checked and close Hijackthis.

Yahoo certainly ok but we fix redclient apps >

Restart the PC, In addremove programs now that we have delete it, start the uninstall of dmvlite, windows should offer to remove it if not try once more.

Do you use SpyBot 1.3 and Ad-Aware SE ?

After removing the red client apps entries and rebooting I was able to remove dmvlite. checked for updates for all my scanners, then rebooted in safe mode with windows restore off. ran avg, adaware, spybot and cwshredder. adaware found 2 tracking cookies and spybot found the usual dso exploit which i have read is a bug in spybot. everything else was clean. nothing in add remove programs that I don't recognize. system looks good. Lonny, thanks so much for all your help! Poskey
