How to put files in original place in PC?

    Hello. My PC got infected by viruses few weeks back n it deleted many also. I downloaded recovery s/w frm net n i recovered not all but few files frm it. N i hv saved it in my E drive. Now how to knw dat which file is of which application or program?? How to put those files in original place?? will defrag help in this?? PLzz help me... I m using Windows xp professional SP2.

    Just forget it.

    1. You will be recovering the infected files
    2. No, defrag will not help
