Hey Guys, I have a computer with Windows 7 Home Premium that can't log in to the only administrator account (not the built in one) on the computer. I've cleared the password using a boot cd but it comes up with an error about the User Profile service or something similar to that. I can log in using any of the standard privilege accounts. Trying to log into safe mode from the administrator accounts just logs me into a temp user with standard privileges. Is there anyway to use the command line to promote one of the standard users to administrator?

Thank you for the help as always!

Elevated cmd prompt type: net user administrator /active:yes It will only work in Win 7 Professional Ultimate and Enterprise. You could give it a try.
