I would like to print a list of all folders, subfolders with names and file extensions on everything in my computer. What is the easiest way to do this?

You could do it from DOS, or you could download Space Hound. It has the capability to print reports of all the files.

This is an evaluation copy that is only valid for a limited time.

mariec it's pretty likely that you'll change your mind about doing that when you find out how much paper and ink it's going to take.

I just checked my C: drive and it has 2,567 folders and 37,908 files. At an arbitrary maximum lines per page of 50, it would require 51 pages for the folder list and 758 pages for the file list!

I figure about 8 ink cartridges ought to do it @ $15 each (cheap Canons) that would come to $120 worth of ink.

    Good point by Zephyr,
As far as I remember Directory Print, and most other such apps
allow you to create a .txt file instead of directly printing.
So you could view/distibute the info without the expensive printing.
    regards
