    Hi Everyone,

Sometimes I shut down/hibernate with a USB memory stick still in. When I turn it back on again, it tries to boot from the USB stick and hangs until I remove the stick and press enter. Is there some way I can tell it (Windows 7 HP) to not boot from the stick? Ideally, I would put some snippet of code on the stick's MBR that says now go to the hard drive and boot that. Does anyone know of such a thing? Thank you.

VisKat (but not using Vista any more)

Turn on the computer and access its BIOS. There will be a setting for boot device order, e.g. dvd > hard disk > usb. Your bios probably has usb set as the first boot device.
