My machine seems to be running VERY slowly, I suspect that there are a lot of applications (tasks) that may be started & running in the background that may not be required.

In W98SE I could run MSCONFIG & manage the startup folder contents so ONLY those tasks I need are started.

What are the set of W2KPro tasks that are REQUIED, so I don't pare too much.

How do I accomplish this in W2KPro?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Unzip in your winnt folder. Afterwards it's just like good old Win98, start|run, and type msconfig in the box.
