OK, I'm new to the concept of networking and I have a question about the 'non-blank password'.

OK, I'm running XP Pro on both my desktop and laptop computers. They are running peer to peer thru a router. I've managed to get everything up and running, but would like to be able to use my computers without having to type any passwords or such.

There are two users on both computers. The same users. I would like to know all the ways that I can eliminate the need for any passwords on any users log in.

Please forgive my ignorance, I'm just getting my feet wet with all of this computer stuff.

    Thanks.

Would you explain that in more detail.

As to the passwords part - and since you have XP-pro (good thing)

    - start~run~gpedit.msc
    - drill down to computer configuration~windows settings~security settings~local policies~security options
    - double click on Accounts: Limit local account use of blank passwords to console login only and set it to disabled.
