I know it's a dumb question, but how do I get an icon of the Windows Live Mail on my desktop? (using Vista as my OS)

Can you not right click the WLM entry in the Start Menu>Programs list and select Send To>Desktop (Create shortcut)?

    Hi Noah

No. That's really why I asked this question. When I try to do that, all I get is:

    - Read Mail
    - Internet Properties
    - Remove from List

Thanks. I also just figured out (slow learner that I am) that if I went to All Programs and the Windows Mail icon that is pinned, I could Send to the desk top via a short cut. Evidently it would not do that when I simply right clicked the icon from the Start position. Anyway... thanks for the help.
