Hello everyone, first a bit of explanation. My daughter has A Sony Vaio PCV RS520, Windows XP SP2, 1G Ram, 160G hard drive. She has asked me to help her with making a Recovery Disk/s. The only trouble is I live 2000 miles from her and I am not really computer savvy so..... How does she access the hidden partition on her computer in order to make the recovery disk? She has misplaced the computer's owners manual. Any help appreciated and please don't be afraid to elaborate:)! Thanks in advance, Frank

I apologize to all. I should have done a little more searching before posting. I found the answer! Thanks

It was really quite simple. I just Googled for an owners manual for her Sony Vaio and found the answer there. On her computer go to, Start-Help and Support-Vaio Support-Recovery Options. I should have tried this before asking my question here. Sorry!

Thanks for the feedback! No reason to be sorry. Who finds the answer is not important but letting others in on the secret is!
