    Hello

Excuse my ignorance, but noticed in previous posts about upgrading from 98SE to XP Home edition, and am not sure how to do a clean install. Can anyone help please.

    regards

    Joan

A "Clean Install" generally means that you format the hard drive. Formattinng the hard drive removes ALL files from the drive....(clean slate so to speak)

Doing a clean install requires you to backup all important data like email/favorites etc..
