Is there anyway to disable the "Vista needs your permission to continue" feature?

Have to admit that I am not familiar with that piece of software - nor used Vista either :)

I have UAC set in Win 7 to be operational, but not to dim the screen - that is annoying !

Under no circumstances would I turn UAC off.

Goddez1: I knew of this software but when I tried to download it, BitDefender blocked it because of Malware problem. Maybe that is why it is not recommended any longer.

I just downloaded it and used it. Bitdefender may see this as a security risk because lowering uac would be considered this. This is a link from archives and past discussion on such:
    http://www.windowsbbs.com/windows-vista/77402-why-i-killed-uac.html
    http://www.helpwithwindows.com/WindowsVista/Taming_Windows_Vista_User_Account-Control.html

Bitdefender didn't block nor protest this for me. I did however notice some servers and sites who had this tried to hook other baggage into the download, a toolbar was just one example.

Let me put it in plain English: People that switch off UAC are stupid. (same I would think of people playing Russian Roulette, which is what you are doing with UAC off).

If you are one of 'em, do you know what you are doing? Do you know what UAC does?

    .... Yea, I didn't think so.

    As I posted before:

The problem is that users who have no idea what it takes to stay safe on the Internet also read those things (or worse yet, just download the software), and they switch off UAC because it bothers them. The vast majority of users should not switch off UAC.

That's the reason for the link and the uac tweaker. Past archived discussion stress's the importance of uac and offers a more user friendly setting.
