how to detect a built in sound card

last time i lost driver of sound card but it's built in i try to install but failed so how can i detect the built in sound card and how can we check that what kind of sour card is in the cpu(built in) i mean every computer which is built in (how to detect and check) and another question is that is there any dos prompt command or sotware to detect the mother board of any computer if then tell thanx for co-operation

What I believe you are looking for are the motherboard drivers, as the sound card is on board. But Aida32 may help.

 

Best way to identify the motherboard is to open the case and look between the PCI/ISA slots (these are the slots for adding cards), or it could be printed on the corner of the motherboard.

You could post back here with make/model, we may be able to help you find the drivers.

okey i checked the model number is p4s333-m asus mother board 20 gb hard disk maxtor and 128 ram
sound card is detecting but i don't have drivers will u help me.
