how to delete internet explorer please?

    it seems i have lots of problems in internet explorer 6.0 and when i tried to repair it said was not possible...gave details box ..and inside was about 25 lisyings of why it couldnt..all errors..so ive tried to delete it..but the only options i get to delete are to delete current version and reinstal previous one..so i ticked this ..but when i restart computer after it starts up with cant upgrade 1% to 2% this line is repaeated and ive still got a faulty explorer any ideas please anyone

    First of all - please kill the bold type - irritating on the eyes and akin to 'shouting' on the Board :)

    Which Operating System are you running - XP, Me, 98SE?

    Basically you cannot uninstall Internet Explorer - there are ways but these are somewhat devious.

    Repair Internet Explorer/Outlook Express - XP

    If running XP your first step is to run System File Checker ....

    Start > Run > sfc /scannow - note the space and have your XP install CD handy.
