[Inactive] How to delete "application" from hidden folder?

Ok. So my sis's laptop was infected and I got locked out but I managed to hack through and I'm editing it.

So my external hard drive was infected and all folders were brutefully forced to be hidden and some application file was renamed to that exact folder. I managed to get ComboFix to delete the files on the root of the hard drive but I need help to delete those application files from the hidden folders as well.

How can I restore my hard drive so I can un-hide the hidden folders.

PS: Im having some hard time reseting the password on the laptop. I managed to reset the infected desktop. Though, I would only ask for un-hiding the hidden folders set by the virus. I'll have to do the password-thingy by myself. I can use the other desktop since it's clean but I'll be careful with those application files.

EDIT: The only thing I want to be cleaned is the locked out laptop but that's out of the topic for now since it's locked. I'll be back when it's open.

Update: I'm going to re-format the infected latop since no files were in it. So I'm back on "How to unlock hidden files set by a virus on flash drives? ". I can see the files but the "hidden" option is disabled. Thank you for your time.

UPDATE 2: I'm using Vista's Advanced search to find and locate all 312KB .exe application files. I just wish I can find a 'COMBOFIX'-like scanner to locate those in the hidden folders. Now I have to re-make those hidden files in my hard drive to bring back my files. I have, I think, 500,000 folders, not sure (including the infected dsktop PC)

If this is your only question, it should be posted in some other section of this board.

I also noticed that, as well, since I also updating all our PCs here. Sorry for not updating very well. Kindly lock this one and I'll post it somewhere else since I got the malware removed. I want the "aftermath" fixed for our desktop PC and my 1TB external hard drive.

So, it's "how to enable the hidden folder that was set to system hidden folder back to regular folder ".

I apologize for any iinconvenience. I reformatted the infected laptop and scanned with COMBOFIX. So far so good.

    Regards,
    Chris
